Taos in Winter

Sure, tons of snow and single-digit temperatures might make going about your day difficult, but you know what isn’t difficult, oddly enough?

Crawling around the yard in pajamas and a down jacket, photographing plants in snow and ice!

I was fascinated by the tiny ice crystals and the way the dead branches seemed to be reaching for the sun.

Everything looks so crisp and clean.

The ice crystals and translucent dried flower petals are delicate and beautiful.

My hibernating maple tree looks as if it’s lit with tiny Christmas lights.

I’d been griping about winter, but now that the sun has come out I’m loving it. I hope you are too.
