Playing in the Rain

I realize I’m supposed to be posting about the latest Scamps, but the other night it rained in Taos, and I decided to buck the boss – who is, um, me – and share some images from that.

And I wasn’t technically in the rain, since rain and expensive camera gear don’t mix, but something interesting happens when you focus on the window you’re looking through.

One thing I miss about city life is the night sky, lit up by thousands of lights from homes, cars, stores, and streetlights. This image reminded me of that.

Oh, there also happened to be a beautiful Taos sunset happening. Ho hum.

I love the delicate pattern of the raindrops as a contrast to that heavy landscape.

Here’s what it would look like in a nuclear holocaust. Ha ha! Seriously though, can you see how the fading sunlight is reflected in the raindrops? Lovely little watery cups of color and darkness.
